LAMINATING RESINS Creative Resins laminating resins are a crystal clear transparent resin especially designed to remain water clear when catalyst. These resins are not prone to yellowing and allow expansion of 300/350%
The laminating resin is exceptionally tough and suffers minimal shrinkage. They also provide excellent water resistant with virtually nil absorption and has a very high degree of resistance to oils and some high boiling point solvents. This superior laminating resin also contains a specially adapted
adhesion promoter that remains dormant until the addition of the
catalyst. With an exceptionally low viscosity - similar to water,
the laminating resin is extremely easy to use allowing easy flow
and fast air bubble release. A full range of beautiful colours are available that can all be inter mixed to create any shade or effect. All of the colours are prepared in house using the highest quality organic pigments providing long term UV stability. There is also a range of marble effect translucent and opaque colours. The laminating resins can be used conventionally as a cold pour system or it can be dispensed and mixed automatically using a pump system with virtually no wastage. The specially designed pump is simple to use and is designed to be self cleaning reducing the man hours needed to maintain it.
The transparent laminating resin colours are crystal clear and all ten colours can be mixed together to create an endless palette of colours. By adding white to these colours, you can create opaque colours as well as marbling effects to any panel. The ten transparent colours are yellow, orange, pink, red, green, blue, violet, brown, white and black. Laminating resins are ideal for building applications which require a glass exterior but at the same time need to minimise sound transmission, such as a restaurant on a busy street. Laminating glass with good accoustic dampensing properties are used. Security glass is usually laminated as it provides a safer alternative to float glass. many applications require transparent panels so plain laminating resin is ideal. Laminating resin also has a resistence to shattering and penetration. Laminated glass is cleaned in the same way as ordinary float glass
panels however it is much more durable. It can protect a building from bad weather and natural disasters as if it is shattered by flying objects it remains in its frame. Due to this, laminating resin is favoured in areas of the world that suffer from hurricanes and extreme weather conditions. It can also act as a glare control when used in countries with hot climates and high UV levels. This makes it perfect for office building or skyscrapers. As it controls glare it also ensures less heat is transmitted into the room saving on air conditioning costs and in turn reducing the carbon footprint of a company or private individual. THE LAMINATING PUMP The Creative-Lam pump is a pneumatically powered medium output machine, designed for the accurate mixing and injection of specially formulated Creative Resins laminating resin systems. The precision fluid pumps achieve a mix output from as low as 150g/min up to 4kg/min. Standard features include: variable catalyst ratio slave pump, unique automatic solvent/air flush and the benefit of resin recirculation at the mix head. This pump incorporates a unique pressure guard designed to protect the glass from excessive injection pressure and to optimise fill performance. Catalyst pump ratios are adjustible from 0.5% to 3.0% Standard Features
